Hexametaphosphate Crystal Cartridge prevents scale and rust buildup — use with water heaters, air conditioning equipment, and many other types of water processing equipment. Food-grade hexametaphosphate dissolves slowly in water to treat scale, corrosion, and iron problems at various flow rates and feed concentrations. All materials are FDA-compliant.

Water being treated should have no more than 257 mg/L hardness, with a pH range of 6.5 to 9.0. Maximum temperature is 100 °F (38 °C). Cartridge is made from polypropylene (PP) shell with a polyester pad prefilter and a PP post filter.
