Avantor Expands Solar Energy Use at Three Global Sites
As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce our carbon footprint and advance renewable energy across our global operations, solar panel installations at three additional sites recently went live. These projects build on Avantor’s progress in harnessing renewable energy to support our Science for Goodness platform and sustainability goals.

Örebro, Sweden: Rooftop Solar to Power Daily Operations
On May 29, 2024, the Avantor team in Örebro activated a rooftop solar installation on the site’s warehouse. The system is projected to generate approximately 320,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable electricity each year. Of that, 180,000 kWh will be used on-site—meeting an estimated one-third of the site’s total electricity needs with locally generated clean energy.
Dehradun, India: Expanding Renewable Energy in AMEA
At our Dehradun site, part of Avantor’s AMEA manufacturing footprint, a new solar installation officially went live on January 7, 2025, after connecting to the local grid in December 2024. In its first year of operation, it is expected to produce approximately 212,600 kWh of renewable energy.

Phillipsburg, New Jersey: Solar Carport Array Now Operational
In the U.S., a new solar carport array was recently completed at our Phillipsburg, New Jersey site. In addition to supporting on-site energy generation, this installation advances our goal of integrating renewable energy solutions across our North American footprint.
These recent installations are the latest in a series of renewable energy initiatives across Avantor’s global operations.
