The CODAN Spikes are a compact and safe needle-free system for the manual preparation, withdrawal or transfer of cytostatics and pharmaceuticals as well as their solvent solutions. In order to protect users from aerosols and the drug from micro bacterial contamination, all CODAN Spikes are equipped with a hydrophobic 0,2 µm air filter.

- Integrated, hydrophobic 0,2 µm air filter guarantees sterile aeration and venting and reliably retains aerosols during preparation

The CODAN MicroSpikes were especially designed for use on very small medication vials, e.g. preparation of vaccine.
For the filtration of large particles (e.g. plug punching, glass splinters) CODAN offers Chemoprotect® Spikes with an additional 5 µm fluid filter.
CODAN Spikes / MicroSpikes are also available with SWAN-LOCK® (SWabable Adapter Needle-free - Luer-Lock) access for multi-dose applications.
The handy Chemoprotect® bag with a safe-seal closure is ideal for the transport of medication to the ward and is also excellent for the disposal of substances.
