The plasmid DNA kit is used in the analysis of supercoiled and linear plasmid DNA. The ladder provided with this kit is optimised for the accurate sizing and relative quantification of supercoiled plasmids between 2,000 and 10,000 bp. Linearised plasmids can be evaluated for quality and relative quantification, however only comparative sizing is possible.
