Pierce™ Control Agarose Resin is underivatised beaded agarose support for pre-clearing protein immunoprecipitation samples.

• Reduce background signal and non specific binding in IP and Co-IP experiments
• Resin is supplied as a 50% slurry in 20% ethanol
• Crosslinked 4% beaded agarose (CL4B) is the same base support as used in Pierce™ IP and co-IP kits

The resin is effective for depleting proteins and other sample components that bind to agarose non specifically, which reduces background signal in IP reactions. When used as a negative control, these beads enable specific and nonspecific binding interactions to be distinguished.
