A range of efficient, reliable, cost effective ovens ideal for most drying, warming and general laboratory applications. The exterior is sheet steel finished in an easy-to-clean powder coated paint and the inner chamber is made from mild steel coated with aluminium (CLAD). The top vent is fitted with a clip to hold a mercury-in-glass thermometer. Heated by means of Incoloy sheathed elements; positioned below the chamber floor for natural convection units and fitted around the fan on the back or side wall of the chamber for mechanical convection units. The control system comprises of a direct reading thermostat and over-temperature thermostat both with calibrated scales and tamper-proof locks. They also include an illuminated mains switch with heat and overheat indicators.

Floor standing drying cabinets made of rust proofed steel, finished in textured epoxy with four adjustable reinforced chromium plated shelves. The sheathed heating elements, situated below a perforated base plate are vented either by natural convection or, for more rapid drying, via a top mounted extraction system, temperature control is by means of an energy regulator.

This drying cabinet has a fine filter on the input side of the fan heater system, so washed equipment is not soiled by 'dirty' air entering the cabinet. A hydraulic thermostat allows control of the air temperature from 5 °C above ambient to 65 °C and permits controlled drying of heat sensitive substances including plastics. The front panel is fitted with a mains on / off switch, neon lamps to indicate 'mains on' and 'heaters on' and a temperature control knob.

Range of ovens with choice of either natural convection or forced convection by means of a fan. U (Uni-program) models offer single temperature selection/control at the push of a button. Following a mains power failure, the controller will automatically re-start. M (Multi-program) models will allow up to eight multiple-step cycles to be stored in the memory. Selectable temperature ramping function allows controlled temperature rates to be programmed into a cycle, repeated for a specified number of times or held continuously until interrupted. Following a mains power failure, recovery options include cycle hold, start cycle from the beginning or re start cycle from point of interruption.

The AAF range of ashing furnaces are ideal for ashing materials such as food, plastics, coal and other hydrocarbons, in which high volumes of fumes are generated. Smoke and fumes are removed by a constant airflow (of between 4 and 5 volume changes per minute) created by convection between the air inlet and the tall chimney, however it is not too high to disturb samples in the crucibles, or chill them as the incoming air is preheated.
