Osteopontin (OPN) is also known as Secreted phosphoprotein 1 (SPP1), Bone sialoprotein 1, Nephropontin, Urinary stone protein, Uropontin, BNSP, which belongs to the osteopontin family. OPN / SPP1 is a highly negatively charged, extracellular matrix protein that lacks an extensive secondary structure. Full length OPN (OPN-FL) can be modified by thrombin cleavage, which exposes a cryptic sequence, SVVYGLR on the cleaved form of the protein known as OPN-R. Osteopontin / SPP-1 is biosynthesized by a variety of tissue types. OPN is the ligand for integrin alpha-V/beta-3. OPN / SPP1 binds tightly to hydroxyapatite and appears to form an integral part of the mineralized matrix. OPN / SPP1 probably important to cell-matrix interaction. OPN / SPP1 acts as a cytokine involved in enhancing production of interferon-gamma and interleukin-12 and reducing production of interleukin-10 and is essential in the pathway that leads to type I immunity.

GGCX is a 758 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein. Localized to the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum, GGCX functions to mediate the vitamin K-dependent carboxylation of glutamate residues on target proteins, thereby producing calcium binding gamma-carboxyglutamate (Gla) residues on these proteins and simultaneously converting vitamin K to vitamin K epoxide. GGCX exists as a monomer and, via its ability to modify glutamate residues, it accomplishes the post-translational changes that are necessary for the activity of all vitamin K-dependent proteins (such as blood coagulation and bone matrix proteins). Defects in the gene encoding GGCX are the cause of combined deficiency of vitamin K-dependent clotting factors 1 (VKCFD1) and PXE-like disorder with multiple coagulation factor deficiency, both of which are characterized by abnormal skin, blood or bone function.

Bmf Antibody: Apoptosis is related to many diseases and development. Members in the Bcl-2 family are critical regulators of apoptosis by either inhibiting or promoting cell death. Bcl-2 homology 3 (BH3) domain is a potent death domain. BH3-only proteins, including Bad, Bid, Bik, Hrk, Bim, Noxa, and PUMA, form a growing subclass of the Bcl-2 family. A novel BH3-only protein was recently identified in human and mouse and designated Bmf (for Bcl-2-modifing factor). The BH3 domain in Bmf is required both for binding to Bcl-2 proteins and for triggering apoptosis. In healthy cells, Bmf associates with the dynein light chain 2 (DLC2) component of the myosin V motors and is sequestered by the cell's actin cytoskeleton. Disruption of the actin cytoskeleton, either by depolymerization of actin filaments or by detachment of cells from the extracellular matrix, triggers release and activation of Bmf, initiating the downstream apoptotic program. Bmf is constitutively expressed in many tissues.
