The YB5.B8 monoclonal antibody specifically binds with human CD117 (c-kit), the 145 kDa receptor for stem cell factor (SCF) or steel factor. This tyrosine kinase protein is expressed mainly on hematopoietic progenitor, mast cells, acute myeloid leukemia cells (AML). CD117 activation promotes proliferation and cell differentiation on these cell subtypes. A lack or defect of SCF can lead to a decrease in number of hematopoietic progenitor cells and severe anemia.

The Ber-H2 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with human CD30, a 120 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TNFR) also known as the Ki-1 antigen. CD30 can elicit signals leading to either activation or apoptosis through interaction with CD30 ligand (CD30L). It is expressed by a subset of extrafollicular activated B and T cells, lung macrophages, activated NK cells, lymphomas, and endothelial cells. It is highly expressed on Hodgkins and Reed-Sternberg cells.

ADP-ribosylation factor 6 (ARF6) is a member of the human ARF gene family, which is part of the RAS superfamily.
