Films
Autoradiography film is used to detect radioactive molecules and more recently, specific nonradioactive molecules using probes that catalyze chemiluminescence. This high-quality, economical film provides sensitive chemiliuminescence results using either a single or double emulsion format. This outstanding film is versatile in use and comes in different colors. Most autoradiography films utilize a sensitive blue-tint that provides sharp contrast and resolution for sequencing and delivering publishing-grade results.

Film, Kodak BioMax® MS
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
BioMax® MS film is a high performance all-purpose, maximum sensitivity autoradiography film. When used with the BioMax® TranScreen HE intensifying screen it delivers four to eight times greater sensitivity in the detection of ³²P when compared to other autoradiography film and intensifying screen combinations. This film/screen combination is ideal for detection of Northern, Southern and Dot Blotting applications, particularly when detection of low intensity samples or exposure time reduction is required.

Intensifying screens, BioMax® MS
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
The BioMax® MS intensifying screen is optimised for use with BioMax® MS film to maximise sensitivity for detection of ³²P and ¹²⁵I labelled samples.

Film, Kodak X-OMAT® LS
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
X-OMAT® LS is an economical, blue-tinted film for when the maximum performance of BioMax® MR, BioMax® MS, or X-OMAT® AR film is not required. X-OMAT® LS film is suitable for use with all commonly used radioisotopes and chemiluminescent probes. However, the film provides significantly less detection sensitivity than the BioMax® autoradiography films, resulting in longer exposure times.

Film for chemiluminescent imaging, Kodak BioMax® Light
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
BioMax® Light is a double emulsion film that provides maximum clarity and sensitivity for detection of chemiluminescent-labelled samples. BioMax® Light produces the highest signal-to-noise ratio of any Kodak film for detection of chemiluminescence. This film performs well with all brands of chemiluminescent kits. BioMax® Light film is suitable for direct and intensifying screen exposures with commonly used isotopes, though it provides lower sensitivity resulting in longer exposure times compared to BioMax® MS, and X-OMAT AR films for radioisotope detection.

Intensifying screens, BioMax® TranScreen HE
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
Designed for use with gamma emitters such as ¹²⁵I and high-energy beta emitters, such as ³²P, the BioMax™ TranScreen HE intensifying screen offers the greatest sensitivity. When used in conjunction with the BioMax™ MS film, the system equals or exceeds the image quality of conventional autoradiography screen/film systems. By minimising the distances between the radioisotope and phosphor layer, it presents the phosphor to the emitting particles immediately, for less scattering and better spatial resolution.

Electron micrography films, Kodak
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
These micrography films offer considerable latitude in performance and flexibility for most electron microscopy applications. They are suitable for medium-energy electrons (40 to 100 ky) and acceptable results can also be obtained at higher electron levels.

Film, Kodak BioMax® XAR
Supplier: CARESTREAM HEALTH
BioMax® XAR Film is an autoradiography film for use with all commonly used isotopes and chemiluminescence labels. The film is coated with emulsion on both sides of a clear base, and is suitable for both direct autoradiography and exposures made with amplification screens, including BioMax® amplification screens.

Film, Amersham™ Hyperfilm™ ECL™
Supplier: Cytiva
Amersham™ Hyperfilm™ ECL™ is constructed from a clear base coated on both sides with a photographic emulsion that is protected by an anti-scratch layer. The anti-scratch coating reduces the risk of visible artefacts (e.g., plastic wrap marks) and the clear colourless base results in easy reading of images without compromising on sensitivity.
