Engaging Employee Resource Groups

Our Associate Centric Teams (ACTs) are Employee Resource Groups that create safe spaces for associates to share, learn, and grow. Our ACTs are open to all, whether you identify with the community represented or not. Our ACT members are called allies and they together with our ACT leadership are making a positive difference every day at Avantor.

With a focus on learning in community, we build a culture of belonging through open discussion and training on fundamental topics of inclusion. We learn best through hearing people’s stories and understanding lived experiences different than our own. We offer opportunities to share in safe spaces each month through our DEIB Office and our ACTs as well as on-demand trainings and tool kits for all associates.

With a focus on diverse representation in leadership, we support programs for career acceleration and advancement for internal talent. And, we partner with diverse recruitment firms to ensure we reach the broadest availability of highly qualified candidates for open roles. We train to identify and interrupt bias and provide growth opportunities for all.

Working together with the Avantor Foundation and our ACTs, we give back to the communities where we live and work with a focus on marginalized and under served populations. Our associates give their time, passions, and talents to create goodness.

In 2024, the DEIB Office added oversight for the Supplier Diversity program at Avantor. This partnership highlights the connectivity of sustainable solutions for our customers and the opportunity to make direct economic impact in underserved communities.

Recent DEIB Accomplishments

In April, Michael Stubblefield signed the Disability: IN CEO Letter on Disability Inclusion, committing to fostering an inclusive workplace and benchmarking efforts with the Disability Equality Index. Michael shared these words on the commitment:

“At Avantor, we envision a world without boundaries for our associates. We’re creating an inclusive, accessible and equitable workplace for our colleagues with diverse abilities so they can thrive and contribute to the fullest. I signed the Disability:IN CEO letter to underscore our commitment to these talented team members and to encourage other business leaders to prioritize policies and programs that enable all employees to bring their full selves to work.”
