The checking of UV/Visible spectrophotometers is incorporated in the European Pharmacopoeia and is indispensable in the pharmaceutical industry. However, all other users who operate according to standards and guidelines such as GLP, GMP, USP and ISO 9001 are required to check their analytical systems at regular intervals and to document such checks.
