Manual or powered laboratory presses are suited to meet the many specimen preparation requirements or compressing procedures. Some powered styles come fully automated for the best working efficiency. Common applications include drying and flattening samples for botanical collecting, preparing powdered materials into tablet forms for use in calorimeter tests, pellet pressing, compression strength tests, and fluid extractions.
