Both the intermediate-polarity deactivated guard columns and the Siltek® deactivated guard columns are important to match the polarity of the solvent and the polarity of the surface deactivation. Temperature range is 325 °C for Elite-Guardand 380 °C for Elite-Siltek® guard.
