Anti-BGN Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (HRP (Horseradish Peroxidase))

Supplier: Bioss

The protein encoded by this gene is a small cellular or pericellular matrix proteoglycan that is closely related in structure to two other small proteoglycans, decorin and fibromodulin. The encoded protein and decorin are thought to be the result of a gene duplication. Decorin contains one attached glycosaminoglycan chain, while this protein probably contains two chains. For this reason, this protein is called biglycan. This protein plays a role in assembly of collagen fibrils and muscle regeneration. It interacts with several proteins involved in muscular dystrophy, including alpha-dystroglycan, alpha- and gamma-sarcoglycan and collagen VI, and it is critical for the assembly of the dystrophin-associated protein complex. Anti-Viperin Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor® 680)

Supplier: Bioss

RSAD2 is a 361 amino acid protein that is involved in antiviral defense against pathogens such as Hep C, Cytomegalovirus and HIV-1. Localised to the cytosolic side of the endoplasmic reticulum and relocated to the Golgi apparatus upon viral infection, RSAD2 is thought to prevent viral budding by disrupting lipid rafts at the plasma membrane and supporting the Interferon-induced antiviral state of the cell. Additionally, RSAD2 can bind to and inactivate FDPS (an enzyme that is crucial for the synthesis of cholesterol and geranylated and farnesylated proteins), thereby playing a role in lipid synthesis. Overexpression of RSAD2 leads to abnormal lipid accumulation that is associated with atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory disease characterised by hardened arteries.

Anti-DUSP26 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor® 680)

Supplier: Bioss

Inactivates MAPK1 and MAPK3 which leads to dephosphorylation of heat shock factor protein 4 and a reduction in its DNA-binding activity. Inhibits MAP kinase p38 by dephosphorylating it and inhibits p38-mediated apoptosis in anaplastic thyroid cancer cells. Can also induce activation of MAP kinase p38 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK).Tissue specificity:Brain. In the brain it is expressed ubiquitously except in the hippocampus. Expressed in embryonal cancers (retinoblastoma, neuroepithilioma and neuroblastoma) and in anaplatic thyroid cancer.

Anti-TOR1B Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (FITC (Fluorescein Isothiocyanate))

Supplier: Bioss

TorsinB is a 336 amino acid protein that localizes to the lumen of endoplasmic reticulum and belongs to the Torsin family. Expressed in a variety of tissues with particularly high levels in adult brain, TorsinB is thought to function as a molecular chaperone that assists in the conformational folding of membrane and secreted proteins. Via its ability to regulate protein folding, TorsinB plays a key role in postnatal developmental events and is essential for proper neurological development. TorsinB contains two PKC (protein kinase C) phosphorylations sites, one ATP binding domain and several conserved cysteines and shares 69% amino acid identity with TorsinA, a related family member. Defects in the gene encoding TorsinB are associated with torsion dystonia, an autosomal dominant neurological disorder that is characterized by debilitating muscle contractions throughout the body.

Anti-C20orf202 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (FITC (Fluorescein Isothiocyanate))

Supplier: Bioss

C20orf202 is a 122 amino acid protein that is pending further characterization. The gene encoding C20orf202 maps to human chromosome 20. Comprising approximately 2% of the human genome, chromosome 20 contains nearly 63 million bases that encode over 600 genes, some of which are associated with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, spinal muscular atrophy, ring chromosome 20 epilepsy syndrome and Alagille syndrome. Additionally, chromosome 20 contains a region with numerous genes which are thought to be important for seminal production and may be potential targets for male contraception.

Anti-PRKCA Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy5.5®)

Supplier: Bioss

Protein kinase C (PKC) is a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by calcium and second messenger diacylglycerol. PKC family members phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. PKC family members also serve as major receptors for phorbol esters, a class of tumor promoters. Each member of the PKC family has a specific expression profile and is believed to play a distinct role in cells. The protein encoded by this gene is one of the PKC family members. This protein kinase has been reported to be involved in many different cellular functions, such as B cell activation, apoptosis induction, endothelial cell proliferation, and intestinal sugar absorption. Studies in mice also suggest that this kinase may also regulate neuronal functions and correlate fear-induced conflict behavior after stress. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.

Anti-ATXN1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy3®)

Supplier: Bioss

Ataxin-1, also designated spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 protein (Sca-1), is differentially expressed and localizes to both the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Mutations in Ataxin-1 are associated with the onset of the autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disorder spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 (SCA-1), which is characterized by progressive neuronal loss in the cerebellum, muscle wasting and ataxia. In Purkinje cells, where SCA-1 is predominantly observed, Ataxin-1 has been shown to directly associate with the Purkinje-enriched leucine-rich acidic nuclear protein (LANP) and the nuclear matrix-associated protein promyelocytic leukemia protein PML. In SCA-1, Ataxin-1 is mutated to encode a polyglutamine protein that forms nuclear aggregates, which interact significantly more strongly with LANP and contribute to the pathogenesis of SCA-1.

Anti-AACS Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Cy5®)

Supplier: Bioss

ACSF1 is a 672 amino acid protein belonging to the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme family. Encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 12q24.31, ACSF1 is highly expressed in kidney, heart and brain, and shows similar neural expression as HMGCR (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase). Existing as three alternatively spliced isoforms, ACSF1 participates in ATP binding, ligase activity, acetoacetate-CoA ligase activity and nucleotide binding. The ACSF1 promoter is a known PPAR?target gene, with the nuclear receptor recruited to the ACSF1 promoter by direct interaction with stimulating protein-1 (Sp1). ACSF1 activates acetoacetate and is highly regulated by modulators that affect HMGCR and cholesterol biosynthesis.
