Vascular endothelial growth factor C (VEGF-C) is a member of the VEGF/platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) family of proteins. VEGF-C is a potent angiogenic factor and promotes lymphangiogenesis, endothelial cell growth and survival, and can affect blood vessel permeability.
