Complement reagents

Complement reagents are prepared from healthy, non-medicated animals using very large pools to reduce lot-to-lot variability. The fresh frozen complement is rapidly processed and maintained at –70 °C to ensure maximum activity. The lyophilised complement is supplied with a diluent of veronal buffered saline containing optimal concentrations of magnesium and calcium.
