Product Details & Documents
Bromophenol blue is a tracking dye for alkaline and neutral buffer systems. It is used as a tracking dye in DNA, RNA (agarose) and protein (polyacrylamide) gel electrophoresis.
- Visual transition interval: yellow (pH 3,0) to purple (pH 4,6)
Bromophenol blue migrates at approximately the same rate as 300 to 500 bp DNA in agarose gel and at the buffer front in protein polyacrylamide gels.
Soluble in ethanol (0,1% w/v - clear yellow solution), methanol (40 mg/4 ml), EGME, water, benzene.
: Research Use Only (RUO).
