Staphylococcal protein A is the classical immunoglobulin-binding reagent for a wide range of antibodies, used extensively in affinity chromatography and antibody detection applications. The protein is enterotoxin-free and gives reliable results. Protein A binds the Fc regions of IgG antibodies from a variety of species, for convenient antibody purification.
