Organic synthesis has a broad range of applications including drug discovery, agrochemical research, flavours and fragrances. Exposing many of the solvents and reagents used in organic synthesis to air and moisture inhibits their ability to perform properly and can cause some, if not all, of the following issues:
- A failed synthesis
- Poor yield
- Greater number of by-products/impurities
- Challenging purification
Moreover, the highly reactive reagents often required in organic synthesis may be hazardous to use, including compounds that can be pyrophoric, toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, corrosive and odorous.
This webinar examines how the innovative AcroSeal™ packaging solution offers performance, convenience and safety through a series of chemical synthesis examples involving the use of air and moisture sensitive solvents, pyrophoric and hazardous reagents.
