Total RNA which has been extracted from cell lines representing different human tissues, pooled (10 human) or pooled (11 mouse) and treated to remove DNA to undetectable levels.
- Greater consistency than RNA references derived from tissue sources

- Manufactured at industrial scale lot sizes and stringently quality controlled for minimised lot-to-lot variation
- No detectable levels of genomic DNA
Typical uses include optimisation of primer/probe sets to ensure no cross reactivity, as a standard to relatively quantitate unknowns to an unchanging reference for immediate validation without wasting precious RNA, or to compare QPCR efficiencies across labs/platforms/experiments.
