FlashGel™ DNA system

FlashGel™ DNA system offers a rapid method for separating DNA and watching DNA migration as it happens. The system consists of enclosed, disposable, precast agarose FlashGe™ DNA cassettes and an electrophoresis unit with built in transilluminator (FlashGel™ dock) that provides both separation and detection.

• Separates DNA fragments 10 bp to 4 kb in 2 to 7 minutes
• Gel runs can be monitored at the bench, in real time without UV light
• At least five times more sensitive than gels stained with ethidium bromide

Certifications: Some components and technology of the FlashGel™ system are sold under licensing agreements. The nucleic acid stain in this product is manufactured and sold under license from Molecular Probes, Inc for use only in research applications or quality control, and is covered by pending and issued patents. The FlashGel™ Dock technology is licensed from Clare Chemical Research, Inc. The electrophoresis technology is licensed from Temple University.

Delivery information: Supplied as a complete system (including FlashGel™ dock), separate components or as a starter kit (without FlashGel™ camera). The markers and dye are in a ready to load format, optimised for use with the system and recommended for best performance. The starter kit contains 9× FlashGel™ DNA cassettes (1,2%, 12+1 well); 1 ml FlashGel™ loading dye; and 150 µl FlashGel™ DNA marker (100 bp to 4 Kb).
