MTT cell proliferation assay kit is designed for spectrophotometric quantification of cell growth, viability and proliferation and can be used as a direct indicator of cytotoxicity (such as for screening anticancer drugs) and apoptosis.

Kit is a colorimetric assay for measuring the mitochondrial reductases activity in living cells. It is based on the cleavage of membrane-permeable yellow tetrazolium salt MTT to blue/purple formazan crystals by metabolically active cells. This MTT assay kit contains sufficient reagents to perform 1000 assays in 96-well plate format.
Caution: Store MTT Reagent at –20 °C MTT reagent and solubilisation solution at +4 °C.
