Pierce™ Quantitative Peroxide Assay Kit (Aqueous) detects and measures hydrogen peroxide levels in biological samples using an iron and xylenol orange* (XO) reagent.

  • Ready to use – removes the variability, difficulty and expense of formulating in-house
  • Ideal for sensitive measurement of peroxide accumulation in non-lipid samples

This aqueous-compatible peroxide assay kit detects peroxides based on oxidation of ferrous to ferric ion in the presence of xylenol orange. The kit formulation includes sorbitol, which provides sensitivity enhancement. Most proteins do not interfere with this assay, although some metal chelators may require use of a blank (ie. control) to mitigate these effects.

*Xylenol orange is (o-cresolsulfonephthalein-3´-3´-bis-[methyliminodiacetic acid sodium salt]).

Delivery information: Complete kit includes Reagent A (1 ml) and Reagent B (4×25 ml).
