Yeast peptide dextrose (YPD) broth is used for the propagation and maintenance of yeasts.

YPD broth is supplied as a pre-mixed powder which, when dissolved at 50 g/l of water, yields peptone (20 g/l), yeast extract (10 g/l), glucose (20 g/l).

Final pH of solution (25 °C): 6,5 ±0.5

Autoclave or sterile filter.
