Michael Stubblefield

President and Chief Executive Officer

Michael Stubblefield is our President and CEO, a position he has held since May 2014. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Stubblefield served as a Senior Expert for Chemicals Practice of McKinsey & Company from 2013 to 2014. Prior to this role, Mr. Stubblefield held a variety of roles at Celanese Corporation from 1994 to 2012, including Vice President and General Manager, Advanced Engineered Materials and Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Stubblefield earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Utah, as well as an MBA from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

Tom Szlosek

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Tom Szlosek is our Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In his current role, Mr. Szlosek is responsible for our financial operations globally. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Szlosek served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Honeywell. Mr. Szlosek has also held various leadership positions at GE and Price Waterhouse LLP. Mr. Szlosek holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo and is a Certified Public Accountant.

James Bramwell

Executive Vice President, Strategic Partners

James Bramwell is our Executive Vice President, Strategic Partners. In his current role, Mr. Bramwell leads our customer relationships and contracts globally. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Bramwell served as VWR’s Senior Vice President, Strategic Partners, a position he held from June 2008 to November 2017. Prior to this role, Mr. Bramwell served in several roles at VWR, including Area Vice President of the Southwest U.S. and Mexico and Vice President of Major Accounts. Mr. Bramwell also served as the President of the VWR Foundation for four years. Mr. Bramwell earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University.

Dr. Ger Brophy

Executive Vice President, Biopharma Production

Dr. Ger Brophy is our Executive Vice President, Biopharma Production. In his current role, Dr. Brophy is responsible for developing and implementing our Biopharma Production offering to support the current and future needs of our customers. Prior to joining Avantor, Dr. Brophy held a variety of research and development, strategy, advanced systems, and business development positions with GE Healthcare Life Sciences, GE Healthcare Medical Diagnostics and Amersham for nearly 30 years. Dr. Brophy earned a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology, as well as a doctorate in molecular biology from Dublin City University in Ireland.

Christophe Couturier

Executive Vice President, Services, Strategy and Business Transformation

Christophe Couturier is our Executive Vice President, Services, Strategy and Business Transformation. In his current role, Mr. Couturier is responsible for our global service offerings, including onsite services, clinical trials and biorepository platforms to support our customer’s operations. In addition, he leads strategic planning processes and projects, as well as the Avantor Business System and its associated LEAN processes. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Couturier held a variety of services, merger integration, general management, finance and consulting positions at multiple life science companies, including more than a decade with MilliporeSigma. Mr. Couturier earned an Master of Science in management from ESSEC Business School in France.

Bjorn Hofman

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Bjorn Hofman is our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his current role, Mr. Hofman leads all our manufacturing and procurement capabilities. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Hofman served as our Executive Vice President, Biopharma, Research & Diagnostics from November 2016 to November 2017. Prior to this role, Mr. Hofman served as our Chief Operating Officer from 2015 to 2016 and Executive Vice President of Business Operations and General Manager for Europe from 2014 to 2015. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Hofman acted as Senior Vice President of Advanced Technologies at MERCK KGaA from 2013 to 2014 and held a variety of roles at Celanese Corporation from 2009 to 2011. Mr. Hofman earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.

Dr. Ashish K. Kulkarni

Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Ashish K. Kulkarni is our Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. In his current role, Dr. Kulkarni is responsible for incubating new technologies and building a strong pipeline to support future growth. Prior to assuming his current position, Dr. Kulkarni served as Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Celanese Corporation from 2012 to 2016, and Vice President of Research and Development for the Advanced Engineering Materials and Emulsions business units, from 2010 to 2012. Dr. Kulkarni earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Osmania University in India, as well as his master’s degree and doctorate in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.

Eric McAllister

Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Eric McAllister is our Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. In his current role, Mr. McAllister leads our Human Resources organization globally. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. McAllister served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for Westinghouse Electric Company from 2014 to 2017. Prior to Westinghouse, Mr. McAllister held various global HR leadership positions, including Global Vice President of Human Resources for Danaher Corporation’s Communications Platform, Chief HR Officer at Omniture, and Senior Human Resources Director at Microsoft Corporation. Mr. McAllister earned a bachelor’s in social anthropology and Japanese from Brigham Young University in the United States and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Justin Miller

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

Justin Miller is our Executive Vice President, General Counsel. In his current role, Mr. Miller leads our global Legal organization. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Miller served as an attorney at Ballard, Spahr, LLP, an American Lawyer top 100 firm. Mr. Miller also spent 20 years in various leadership positions at DuPont, most recently as Associate General Counsel and Chief Litigation Counsel. In addition to his background in securities and corporate governance, he has extensive commercial experience in pharmaceuticals, electronic materials, and biotechnology. Mr. Miller earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University School of Law in the United States.

Devashish Ohri

Executive Vice President, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA)

Devashish Ohri is our Executive Vice President, Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA). In his current role, Mr. Ohri leads all sales, marketing, services and operations for our business in AMEA. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Ohri served as Managing Director, South Asia, for Life Technologies from 2010 to 2014. Mr. Ohri earned an MBA from INSEAD in France and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Frederic Vanderhaegen

Executive Vice President Europe

Frederic Vanderhaegen is our Executive Vice President, Europe. In this current role, Mr. Vanderhaegen is responsible for our sales, marketing, and distribution operations for our business in Europe. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Vanderhaegen held numerous leadership positions in organizations that partner with the biopharma and life science industries, including Beckman Coulter, Tecan Group, and Millipore Corporation. Most recently, Mr. Vanderhaegen served as Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East & Africa at Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, where he was responsible for the complete profit and loss across sales and services. Mr. Vanderhaegen holds bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and chemical engineering, as well as an MBA in Finance from Open University Malaysia.

Corey Walker

Executive Vice President, Americas, Biomaterials and Advanced Technologies 

Corey Walker is our Executive Vice President, Americas, Biomaterials and Advanced Technologies. In his current role, Mr. Walker leads our Biomaterials and Advanced Technologies (NuSil) and Electronic Materials businesses. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Walker served as Global Vice President of the Sperry Drilling Services and Multichem global business groups at Halliburton Energy Services from 2013 to 2016, and also led global strategy for the Completion and Production division. Mr. Walker has also held a variety of strategic and business unit leadership roles at Dow Chemical. Mr. Walker earned a bachelor’s in marketing and business management from Brigham Young University in the United States, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mike Wondrasch

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mike Wondrasch is our Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. In his current role, Mr. Wondrasch is responsible for all aspects of our Company’s global information and digital technology, including e-commerce, digital marketing and cyber security. Prior to joining Avantor, Mr. Wondrasch led IT organizations at Fortune 100 companies, including PepsiCo, AmerisourceBergen and Mars. Most recently, he served as Global Chief Technology Officer for Bunge, a leading agribusiness and food company. He holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Villanova University in the United States and a Master of Science in computer engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
