TMB is a widely used chromogenic substrate for horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in colorimetric assays. As a free base, it is typically dissolved in an organic solvent or buffer to prepare TMB substrate solutions for ELISA, Western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
