Capsule filters, Polycap™ TC, Whatman™

These Polycap™ TC capsule filters feature dual layer polytehersulfone (PES) membranes and provide efficient filtration for aqueous solutions.

• 100% integrity-tested during manufacturing
• PP housing thermally fused to eliminate surfactants and mold releasing agents that could affect analysis
• Available in sterile and non sterile versions with a filling bell option
• PES membranes protein adsorption characteristics: HAS 0,4 µg/cm²; Insulin 2,0 µg/cm²; gammaglobulin 1,5 µg/cm²

PES membranes are inherently hydrophilic, have low extractables, are biosafe, and have excellent flow rates. These characteristics make Polycap™ TC PES filters appropriate for a variety of critical filtration applications, including cleaning/rinsing pharmaceutical solutions, tissue culture media, and viral suspensions.

Polycap™ AS (Aqueous Solution) - recommended for filtering aqueous solutions. It combines a glass microfibre (GMF) prefilter and a nylon membrane, prolonging the life of the filter and allowing larger volumes and difficult samples to be filtered easily.

Polycap™ TF - designed for use with organic solvents and chemically aggressive solutions.

Polycap™ HD (Heavy Duty) - offers high filtration efficiency and excellent filtrate purity due to its materials and methods of manufacture.

Polycap™ SPF (Serum Prefilter) - optimised for prefiltration applications and typically used upstream of a Polycap™ AS or a Polycap™ PES capsule.
