Fractogel® presents a range of media with 'tentacular' geometries which provide an enhancement of surface topology that give the resins advantageous features for many production processes. The resulting strong binding of biomolecules by a variety of ligands (depending on application and media chosen) and the long lifetime of the material leads to high efficiency and economy of all Fractogel® media. The process media, based on a synthetic methacrylate resin, have high mechanical strength excellent and high chemical stability making the media easy to pack and ‘clean in place'.
