Tobramycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic derived from Streptomyces tenebrarius and used to treat various types of bacteria infections, particularly Gram-negative infections. It is especially effective against species of Pseudomonas. It works by binding to a site on bacterial 30S and 50S ribosome, preventing formation of the 70S complex. As a result, mRNA cannot be translated into protein and cell death ensues. Tobramycin is preferred over gentamicin for Pseudomonas aeruginosa pneumonia due to better lung penetration.

This product is fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC "Isomer I")-conjugated goat affinity purified F(ab')2 fragments to mouse immunoglobulins (IgG,IgA,IgM) and buffer salts.The total protein is measured by absorbance (A)280 nm); F/P ratio is calculated using absorbance at 491.5nm. Antibody titer of the affinity purified F(ab')2fragments is standardized with an in-house control by immunoelectrophoresis. The affinity purified F(ab')2 fragment is tested for purity at 10 mg/mL using immunoelectrophoresis. The product is goat F(ab')2; no trace of albumin, whole molecule IgG or Fc is detected. This product contains sodium azide. To prevent formation of toxic vapors, do not mix with strongly acidic solutions. To prevent formation of potentially explosive metallic azides in metal plumbing, always wash into drain with copious quantities of water.
