Disse transparente PMMA eller borosilikat 3.3 glasskabe har en forstærket aluminiumsramme, dør med skumgummipakning og magnetstribe. Designet til lagring eller tørring af fugtsensitive produkter, hvor der anvendes silicagel. Det kontrollerede miljø inden i ekssikkatoren er ideelt til lagring af referencematerialer, prøver, metallografiske referenceprøver, tobak og DNA-prøver. Super-star-kabinetter kan fyldes med inaktiv gas, fx nitrogen, så giftige kemikalier kan opbevares på en sikker måde.
