StrataClean resin eliminates the need to perform phenol:chloroform extractions, which are highly toxic and combustible.
- Simple, fast, and easy to use protocol
- Replaces toxic and tedious acetone precipitation, dialysis and ultrafiltration protocols to concentrate proteins
The resin is a non-toxic, non-combustible slurry of hydroxylated silica particles that is used to clean up DNA or concentrate dilute protein mixtures.
DNA extracted with StrataClean resin may be used directly for sequencing or can be precipitated and used for manipulations such as ligations and restriction digests.
