Tetranor PGDM is a major metabolite of prostaglandin D2 which are mainly involved in the inhibition of platelet aggregation and relaxation of vascular smooth muscle.

The levels of tetranor PGDM is found to be as 1,5±0,3 ng/mg creatinine and 8,1±1,3 ng/mg creatinine in human and mouse urine respectively.
