The platinum-cured silicone elastomer used for the PharmaFocus tubing has been designed specifically to fit the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. This silicone undergoes a battery of biocompatibility tests appropriate for pharmaceutical applications, eliminating the costly extended implant studies typically performed on biomedical grade silicones.
