Microsorb™ C18 is an octadecylsilane-covered silica that has been bonded using monofunctional bonding agents under optimised conditions. This material is then endcapped with trimethylsilyl groups to minimise nonspecific binding, maximise mass recoveries and improve peak shape.
C18 columns are typically used with water/methanol or water/acetonitrile solvent combinations and are ideal for the separation of small molecules, proteins, or peptides with differing hydrophobicities.
