Goat serum is a blood derived product collected from healthy non immunised animals.
- Blocking agent or negative control in immunoassays
- For immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry, used between 1 to 20% as a blocking agent in various studies
Suitable alternative to FBS in a wide range of cell culture applications (e.g. isolation and identification of viruses produced in a variety of primary cells).
