Siebel-Instituts nutrient medium for the selective detection and quantitative determination of Lactobacillus and Pediococcus from the brewing environment.

  • Certified by the Siebel-Institute for technology
  • Ready-to-use powder to prepare HLP gel or agar without prior autoclaving
  • Functionally tested with strains originally isolated from the brewing environment

HLP promote the growth of beer spoiling bacteria like Lactobacillus spp./Pedicococcus spp. which are commonly encountered in a brewery. Cycloheximide contained in the medium inhibits the growth of culture yeast.
