X-β-D-cellobioside is a chromogenic substrate for β-cellobiosidase.

  • Cellobiosidase Substrate

White solid soluble in DMSO.

Enzymatic cleavage of the substrate generates a dark blue-coloured precipitate.

Caution: Store at −20 °C and protect from light.
