Blocking buffers, Protein-Free™

Protein-Free™ Blocking buffer is a formulation of non-protein agents that eliminate non-specific binding sites in ELISA, blotting, immunohistochemistry and other applications. The absence of protein from the Protein-Free™ Blocking buffer eliminates problems associated with traditional protein based blockers, such as cross-reactivity and interference from glycosylated proteins.

Protein-Free™ Blocking buffer is compatible with antibodies and avidin/biotin based systems and results in high signal to background ratios.
Protein-Free™ Blocking buffer is offered in four convenient, ready to use formats, with or without detergent. Protein-Free™ Blocking buffer is supplied either in TBS buffer (Tris-buffered saline at pH 7,5) or PBS buffer (phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7,5), as well as in separate formulations that contain Tween®-20 for improving blocking efficiencies.
