Safe-T-Flex låg har et enestående, fleksibelt, over-locking-design, der låser sikkert på ydersiden af rørets kant, og kan fjernes med én hånd. En tæt forsegling sørger for prøveintegritet og forhindrer spild eller fordampning af serumprøver. Denne specielle forsegling beskytter mod aerosoler fra højinfektiøse organismer som fx TB og HTLV-III virus. De er farvekodede for nem prøveidentifikation og for at beskytte mod krydskontaminering.
