shiroGEL Mini Vertical PAGE er modulært system, som gør det muligt at udføre PAGE og elektroblotting i samme tank ved ganske enkelt at skifte indsatserne. Med systemet følger indsatser til hver applikation og en fælles buffertank, som processerne foregår i. Hver indsats har sin egen monterede elektrode, som er forbundet til låget på buffertanken. Af sikkerhedsmæssige årsager er ledningerne forbundet direkte med låget. Når låget aftages, frakobles strømmen til systemet. Indsatsene har desuden en lille pude, som passer til lågets placering. Den sikrer, at lågen altid er placeret korrekt og gør det nemmere at aftage. Buffertanken er støbt for at forhindre separation og lækage. En lang række spacere, kamme og andet tilbehør er tilgængeligt for individuel tilpasning af systemet. Alle spacere og kamme er farvekodede eller har tydelig størrelsesangivelse.

The shiroGEL vertical 20 offers application flexibility and is distinguished by its ease of gel casting and set-up, requiring only four screws to secure up to four 20×20 cm gels. This vertical screw clamp technology distributes pressure evenly along the height of gel rather than in the centre to eliminate plate bowing and gel compression, while maintaining a leakproof seal during casting. A built-in inner buffer chamber within the PAGE insert allows set up to be completed without inclusion of an upper buffer chamber. These systems are ideal for 1D and 2D SDS-PAGE, native, preparative, gradient and high resolution nucleic acid electrophoresis.
