Ved at trykke igen dispenseres den opsamlede væske. Udførelser med fast eller justerbart volumen kan have indbyggede spidsstop for at forhindre overløb. Gradueringerne på instrumentets gennemsigtige krop og farvekodningen sikrer, at den korrekte kapacitet anvendes.
