Inerte NS-muffe og stik forbinder laboratoriedele ved hjælp af forskellige metoder, så selv skrappe gasser og væsker kan overføres. Mens manchetter ofte bruges til lige vandret eller lodret samling, giver L-formede stik større fleksibilitet i placeringen.
