Kogesten
Avantor har pimpsten i forskellige størrelser. Disse er kemiske inerte og klumper ikke. Pimpsten er porøse og forhindrer overophedning af væsker, og deres porøse natur kan få dem til at flyde ovenpå vand. Pimpsten har alsidig anvendelse. Som pulver bruges de som tilsætning i bl.a. skurepulver, sæbe og viskelæder, i fast form som slibe- og isoleringsmateriale og som granulat i væsker for at undgå overophedning.
