Celite® 545
Celite eller diatomit er naturligt forekommende sedimentære bjergarter, der indeholder silica og kan nedbrydes til et off-white pulver. Stoffet består af fine partikler i størrelsesordenen 10 til 200 μm. Celite anvendes som filtermedium på grund af sin høje porøsitet. Almindeligvis kaldet kiselgur bruges dette bløde, pulverlignende stof i applikationer som filtrering, varmeisolering og adsorption.
