Plastflasker er yderst alsidige og økonomiske og derfor en fast bestanddel i ethvert laboratorium. De slagfaste beholdere giver en god fugtbarriere, og de translucente modeller gør det nemt for personalet at se indholdsmængden. Flaskerne er kompatible med en bred vifte af stoffer og kan sikkert indeholde syrer og ætsende kemikalier, men anbefales generelt ikke til opløsningsmidler.
