Anaerocult®-systemet er et pålideligt og anerkendt system til dyrkning af obligat og fakultativt anaerobe organismer. Anaerocult®-systemet er baseret på poser fremstillet af papir med stort absorbsionsevne og gaspermeabilitet. Poserne, som er af forskellig størrelse, er fyldt med en oxygen-bindende reagensblanding, som også danner carbondioxid. Vand tilføres for at starte reaktionen, som består af oxideringen af findelt jern og frigivelse af CO2, hvorefter reaktionen fortsætter uden katalysator. Inkubation er mulig i et anaerobt kar eller i poser.
