The bottom of the flask is slightly recessed so that capped flasks can be stacked for storage. A small tab inside the funnel secures a prefilter in place during filtration. For added protection against contamination, the threads of the bottle cap are slightly recessed in case the cap accidentally touches a work surface.

Stericup® filter cups combine a filter unit with a receiver flask and cap for processing and storage.

Steritop™ bottle top filter units can be used with bottles having either a narrow mouth (33 mm) or a wide mouth (45 mm) opening.
