ReadyBags™ are designed for use in food testing by laboratories with large numbers of samples requiring large volumes of broth media or diluent. Each ReadyBag™ contains 3 liters and is intended for use with an automatic dispenser. The ReadyBag™ is connected to tubing for standard laboratory equipment, such as gravimetric diluters or peristaltic pumps, by means of a connector. Connectors are available in two formats: autoclavable, re-usable stainless steel connectors or sterile, plastic, single-use connectors.

Vectashield® Mounting Medium is a unique, stable formula for preserving fluorescence. It is superior to other anti-fading reagents or mounting media for fluorescence microscopy. Some agents retard the rate of fading, but their initial application gives a severe reduction in emission. Others give a good initial reading but bleach upon illumination. Vectashield® Mounting Medium combines both advantages into one product. It provides strong initial fluorescence and retards photobleaching over time. Vectashield® Mounting Medium is supplied in a bottle fitted with a cone-seal cap. A cap fitted with a drop dispenser pipette is also included. The cone-seal cap can be replaced with the drop dispenser cap for routine use and during storage. Mounted slides should be stored at 4 °C. The fluorescence will remain for many weeks.

Spurr resin is a hydrophobic resin. It is less viscous than epon mixtures and is easier to dispense. The low viscosity of the resin contributes to its penetration in tissue, mineral and dense structures. A low viscosity of 60 cps also allows easy penetration into a variety of difficult materials.

Suspend 30 g of the medium in one liter of distilled or deionised water. Mix well. Heat slowly until the medium is dissolved. Dispense and sterilise at 121 °C (15 lbs of pressure) for 15 minutes.

The Petri dish filling system, PetriSwiss PS900, is designed for high throughput. All entries are made directly via the screen. No manual is needed. Operator prompting in German or English (other languages can be selected). Automatic device self-diagnosis ensures that the system is ready for operation even before the filling process. The stack height can be freely selected (1 to 20 dishes/stack) and can thus be adapted to ongoing further processing. No need for reloading or counting. The 10-roller pump head ensures uniform and non-pulsatory pumping rates up to 60 ml/min. The AntiDrop function suppresses dripping. These parameters can be defined: Dosing quantity per dish rate; Pause times; AntiDrop function; Media smoothing (Vibramix). The feed unit allows 400 Petri dishes to be loaded. These are filled autonomously and ejected with the preselected stack height on the work bench. Automatic, consecutive alphanumeric dish labelling or barcode application. The printer provides a perfect printed image on a white label. Using thermal transfer printing dispenses with problems relating to dried-on ink and also dispenses with the need for an additional compressor module. Application of the label means that the dish remains unobstructed for colony diagnosis. The incorporated “servicing drawer” greatly facilitates cleaning and maintenance effort. Calculate the dosing quantity of the medium per Petri dish; overall dosing quantity (eg.8,5 L) over the number of dishes (eg. 850 dishes). Vibramix allows you to optimise the filling temperature since it even permits media with high viscosity to be distributed optimally in the dish.

Halt Protease Inhibitor Cocktail provides all the protection of a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor in a single, ready-to-use liquid format. Halt protects against protein degradation by serine, cysteine, and aspartic acid proteases and aminopeptidases. Metalloproteases are inhibited by the optional use of 0,5 M EDTA. The 100X Halt stock solution makes it easy to dispense the required amount (10 µl per 1 ml) of protease inhibitors into buffers or lysis reagents prior to extraction of proteins from cultured cells, animal tissues, plant tissues, yeast or bacteria. Halt Protease Inhibitor Cocktails are compatible with Thermo Scientific Pierce Protein Extraction Reagents. Halt EDTA-free formulation is ideal for preparing samples that will be analysed by 2-D gel electrophoresis, immobilised metal chelate affinity chromatography (IMAC) and other downstream application where chelating agents interfere.
