Anti-TRDMT1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor® 488)

Supplier: Bioss

Methylation at the 5'-position of cytosine is the only known naturally occurring covalent modification of the mammalian genome. DNA methylation requires the enzymatic activity of DNA 5-cytosine methyltransferase (Dnmt) proteins, which catalyze the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosyl methionine to the 5'-position of cytosines residing in the dinucleotide CpG motif, and this methylation results in transcriptional repression of the target gene. The Dnmt enzymes are encoded by independent genes. Dnmt1 is the most abundant, and it preferentially methylates hemimethylated DNA and coordinates gene expression during development. Additional mammalian Dnmt proteins include Dnmt2 and Dnmt3. Dnmt2 lacks the large N-terminal regulator domain of Dnmt1, is expressed at substantially lower levels in adult tissues, and is likely involved in methylating newly integrated retroviral DNA. Dnmt3a and Dnmt3b are encoded by two distinct genes, but both are abundantly expressed in embryonic stem cells, where they also methylate CpG motifs on DNA.

Anti-PPAPDC1B Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-PPAPDC1B Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

PPAPDC1B Antibody: Phosphatidate phosphatase (PAP) plays important role in lipid-signaling metabolism in eukaryotic cells. Two distinct types of PAP (PAP1 and PAP2) activity have been distinguished by their subcellular localization and differential sensitivity to N-ethylmaleimide (NEM) and Mg2+. A yeast diacylglycerol pyrophosphate (DGPP) phosphatase (DPP1) and mammalian DGPP phosphatase (PAP2) have been identified as Mg2+-independent and NEM-insensitive membrane-associated. PPAPDC1A (also known as DPPL2) and PPAPDC1B (DPPL1) form a novel type of Mg2+-independent and NEM-sensitive mammalian phosphatidate phosphatase showing broad substrate specificity. Knockdown experiments indicated that this protein is involved with multiple cell signaling pathways, including the JAK-Stat3, MAP kinase, and PKC pathways. PPAPDC1B may also potentiate the estrogen receptor pathway by down-regulating DUSP22.

Anti-GABBR2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Alexa Fluor® 555)

Supplier: Bioss

Component of a heterodimeric G-protein coupled receptor for GABA, formed by GABBR1 and GABBR2. Within the heterodimeric GABA receptor, only GABBR1 seems to bind agonists, while GABBR2 mediates coupling to G proteins. Ligand binding causes a conformation change that triggers signaling via guanine nucleotide-binding proteins (G proteins) and modulates the activity of down-stream effectors, such as adenylate cyclase. Signaling inhibits adenylate cyclase, stimulates phospholipase A2, activates potassium channels, inactivates voltage-dependent calcium-channels and modulates inositol phospholipid hydrolysis. Plays a critical role in the fine-tuning of inhibitory synaptic transmission. Pre-synaptic GABA receptor inhibits neurotransmitter release by down-regulating high-voltage activated calcium channels, whereas postsynaptic GABA receptor decreases neuronal excitability by activating a prominent inwardly rectifying potassium (Kir) conductance that underlies the late inhibitory postsynaptic potentials. Not only implicated in synaptic inhibition but also in hippocampal long-term potentiation, slow wave sleep, muscle relaxation and antinociception.

Rat Recombinant VEGF-165 (from E. coli)

Supplier: Shenandoah Biotechnology

Vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A) is produced by a wide variety of cell types, including tumor and vascular cells. VEGF-A is a mediator of vascular growth, vascular permeability, and plays a role in stimulating vasodilation via nitric oxide-dependent pathways. VEGF-A has several alternatively spliced isoforms, with VEGF-165 being the most abundant. The VEGF-165 isoform is a secreted protein that acts on receptors VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2 to modulate endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis.
