Human recombinant CD40-ligand (from E. coli)
CD40 ligand (CD40L) or CD154 is a membrane glycoprotein and differentiation antigen that is expressed on the surface of T cells, monocytes, basophils, eosinophils, platelets, dendritic cells, and endothelial cells.
- Produced from genetically modified E. coli
- Monomeric protein, containing 149 amino acids
- Activates CD40 receptor on antigen-presenting cells
These proteins are stimulating B cell proliferation, immunoglobulin class switching, and antibody secretion. In peripheral blood monocytes, these are helps to induces cytokine production and tumoricidal activity in peripheral blood monocytes. These CD40L are also act as a co-stimulator for the activation of T cell proliferation and inflammatory protein production.
